Common questions

How do I rate a dish?

Tap the button at the top-right of the home screen. Take a photo of the dish, give it a score from 0–10, and answer whether you'd go back. You'll be asked to tag the restaurant and optionally add it to a trail.

Why do I need a photo to rate?

Photos help other users know exactly what dish they're looking at — not just a restaurant name. Every rating on Trail is tied to a photo.

What are Trails?

Trails are curated ranked lists of dishes — like "Top vada pav in Mumbai" or "Best filter coffee in Bengaluru". You create trails on the Trails tab and add rated dishes to them.

What's the difference between the Community score and the Curator score?

Community scores reflect ratings from all users. Curator scores only count ratings from users who have been verified as trusted food critics. The two scores are always shown side-by-side so you can see where they agree — or don't.

Why can't I set "Would go back" to Yes?

The "Would go back" option requires a score of 7 or higher. If a dish isn't good enough to go back for, it doesn't qualify.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile → Delete Account at the bottom of the screen. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

My photo was flagged as inappropriate — why?

Photos are automatically checked for inappropriate content before submission. If yours was flagged, please retake it showing only the dish. If you believe the flag was a mistake, email us.
